The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 24-ORD-223 (In re: Thomas Law Offices/Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure)

Summary: The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure did not violate the Open Record Act when it redacted information related to an individual’s possible or actual impairments that had been furnished to the Kentucky Physicians Health Foundation and made exempt under KRS 311.619(1).

2. 24-ORD-224 (In re: Nicole Smith/Jessamine County Board of Education)

Summary: The Jessamine County Board of Education violated the Open Records Act when it denied a request for public records on the basis of residency when the requester stated the manner in which she qualified as a resident of the Commonwealth under KRS 61.870(10).

3. 24-ORD-225 (In re: David Christian/Justice and Public Safety Cabinet)

Summary: The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet did not violate the Open Records Act when it denied a request for records that do not specifically reference the requesting inmate.

4. 24-ORD-226 (In re: William Sharp/Louisville Metro Government)

Summary: The Louisville Metro Government violated the Open Records Act when it did not respond to a request to inspect records.
