The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 24-ORD-185 (In re: Makeda Charles/Louisville Metro Department of Corrections)

Summary: The Louisville Metro Department of Corrections did not violate the Open Records Act when it denied a request for records because the requester is not a resident of the Commonwealth.

2. 24-ORD-186 (In re: Ronald Corman/Crime Victims Compensation Board)

Summary: The Crime Victims Compensation Board did not violate the Open Records Act when it could not provide records that do not exist.

3. 24-ORD-187 (In re: Timothy Prater/McCreary Circuit Court Clerk)

Summary: The Open Records Act does not apply to records of the McCreary Circuit Court Clerk.
