The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 24-ORD-102 (In re: Jerry Winstead/Kentucky State Reformatory)

Summary: The Kentucky State Reformatory did not violate the Open Records Act when it did not provide records that are exempt from disclosure under federal law.

2. 24-ORD-103 (In re: Timothy Day/Kentucky Parole Board)

Summary: The Kentucky Parole Board did not violate the Open Records Act when it did not provide a record that does not exist.

3. 24-ORD-104 (In re: Jacob Garmon/Office of the Attorney General)

Summary: The Office of the Attorney General did not violate the Open Records Act when it notified a requester that it was not the custodian of records for the records sought and provided the requester with the contact information of the records custodian of the agency likely to possess the requested records.

4. 24-ORD-105 (In re: Jeremy Henley/Rowan County Detention Center)

Summary: The Office cannot find that the Rowan County Detention Center violated the Open Records Act because the Office is unable to resolve the factual dispute between the parties about whether the Detention Center received a request for records.

5. 24-ORD-106 (In re: Glen Odom/Kentucky State Penitentiary)

Summary: The Office cannot find that the Kentucky State Penitentiary violated the Open Records Act because the Office cannot resolve the factual dispute between the parties.

6. 24-ORD-107 (In re: Glenn Odom/Kentucky State Police)

Summary: The Kentucky State Police did not violate the Open Records Act when it withheld from inspection under KRS 17.150(2) intelligence and investigative reports regarding a criminal case in which the prosecution has not concluded.
