The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records and open meetings decisions last week:

1. 21-OMD-028 (In re: Shelley Raines Lewis/Mount Vernon City Council)

Summary: The Mount Vernon City Council violated the Open Meetings Act when it discussed general personnel matters in a closed session. The Council also violated the Act when it failed to respond timely to a complaint.

2. 21-ORD-029 (In re: Lawrence Trageser/Spencer County Sheriff's Department)

Summary: The Spencer County Sheriff's Department violated the Open Records Act when it denied inspection of records under KRS 61.878(1)(h) without explaining how inspection of the records would harm an ongoing investigation.
