An important victory in the first test of Tennessee's anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) law.

Tennessee has an anti-SLAPP law (enacted in 2019). Kentucky does not —despite the valiant efforts of @RepNimaKulkarni in recent legislative sessions.

SLAPP lawsuits are alive and well in Kentucky. Repudiated by the Kentucky Court of Appeals on June 19, 2020, in a published opinion, legislative action is long past due.
