Directors of the Kentucky Open Government Coalition were back at it again on Tuesday, September 28, providing open records and open meetings training to members and staff of the Woodford County Fiscal Court, other local boards and agencies, and the local bar.
Coalition director, State Journal reporter/editor, and Woodford County native, Austin Horn joined veterans Jeremy Rogers, coalition director/partner at Dinsmore and Shohl, Louisville (pictured), and Amye Bensenhaver, coalition director/retired assistant attorney general for a marathon session focusing on open records and open meetings, including major changes to the open records law resulting from the 2021 Regular Session of the General Assembly and the recent Special Session.
Once again, we appreciate Woodford County Judge Executive James Kay's kind invitation to share important information and updates on Kentucky's open government laws. Judge Kay's commitment to these laws is exemplified in his efforts to ensure regular training for local Woodford County officials and employees.
