The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 23-ORD-004 (In re: Mark Payne/Northern Kentucky University)

Summary: Northern Kentucky University violated the Open Records Act when its response to a request to inspect records failed to comply with KRS 61.880(1) or properly invoke KRS 61.872(5).

2. 23-ORD-005 (In re: Lawrence Trageser/Jeffersontown Fire Protection District)

Summary: This Office cannot find that the Jeffersontown Fire Protection District failed to issue a timely response to a request to inspect records, in violation of the Open Records Act, when it claims it did not receive the request.
