The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records and open meetings decisions last week:
1. 22-OMD-177 (In re: Kurt Wallace/Jefferson County Board of Education)
Summary: To invoke the Attorney General’s jurisdiction to review a complaint under the Open Meetings Act, a complainant must strictly comply with KRS 61.846. Because the Appellant failed to submit a complaint to the presiding officer of the public agency accused of violating the Act, the Office cannot render a decision and dismisses the appeal.

2. 22-ORD-178 (In re: Phillip Hamm/McCracken County Sheriff’s Office)
Summary: The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office did not violate the Open Records Act when it did not permit the subject of a body-worn camera recording to make a copy of the recording, in accordance with KRS 61.168(5)(d).
