The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:



1. 22-ORD-161 (In re: Chad Heath/Hardin County Detention Center)



Summary: The Hardin County Detention Center violated the Open Records Act when it failed to respond to a request under the Act within five business days. However, the Detention Center did not violate the Act when it denied a request for a record that does not exist within its possession.

2. 22-ORD-162 (In re: Jimmy Hall/Morgantown Police Department)

Summary: The Morgantown Police Department violated the Open Records Act when it failed to respond within five business days to a request it received under the Act. However, the Department appears to have now provided all responsive records to the Appellant.
