The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 22-ORD-130 (In re: Joshua Brown/Office of the State Treasurer)

Summary: An appeal alleging excessive fees, initiated prior to a request for records from a public agency, is not ripe for review by the Attorney General under KRS 61.880(2).

2. 22-ORD-131  (In re: Jill Evans-Aldhizer/Department of Education)

Summary: The Department of Education did not violate the Open Records Act when it did not provide copies of materials that are not “public records” under KRS 61.870(2).
