The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 21-ORD-163 (In re: Glenn Odom/Kentucky State Penitentiary)

Summary: The Kentucky State Penitentiary did not violate the Open Records Act when it provided all records in its possession responsive to a request. This Office is unable to adjudicate the factual disputes raised by the Appellant.

2. 21-ORD-164 (In re: Christopher Sawyer/Boone County Sheriff's Office)

Summary: The Boone County Sheriff's Office did not violate the Open Records Act when it justifiably relied on a court order in not responding to a request to inspect records.

Summary: The Kentucky State Police did not violate the Open Records Act when it did not allow inspection of records that do not exist in its possession.
