The Kentucky Attorney General issued the following open records decisions last week:

1. 23-ORD-087 (In re: Western States Media/Louisville Metro Government)

Summary: Louisville Metro Government did not violate the Open Records Act when it denied a request for automobile collision reports under KRS 189.635(5)(b).

2. 23-ORD-088 (In re: Ben Richard/Luther Luckett Correctional Complex)

Summary: The Luther Luckett Correctional Complex did not violate the Open Records Act when it denied a request seeking information rather than public records.

3. 23-ORD-089 (In re: Corey Wooley/Kentucky State Penitentiary)

Summary: The Kentucky State Penitentiary did not violate the Open Records Act when it denied a request under KRS 197.025(1) for security footage that if released would constitute a security threat.

4. 23-ORD-090 (In re: Leonel Martinez/Lee Adjustment Center)

Summary: The Lee Adjustment Center did not violate the Open Records Act when it denied a request for a record that no longer existed within its possession at the time of the request.

5. 23-ORD-091 (In re: Tay Robinson/Kentucky Board of Social Work)

Summary: The Kentucky Board of Social Work violated the Open Records Act when it did not respond to a request to inspect records. The Board did not violate the Act when it withheld emails containing examination scores.
