As a deputy circuit court clerk in Warren County, you ask whether the rubber dollar cost of living increase as provided in KRS 64.527 applies to deputy circuit clerks.

The answer is "no". The annual computation of the Consumer Price Index formula for compensation, as treated in KRS 64.527 and 64.528 relates only to constitutional officers, i.e., officers who are specifically mentioned in the text of the constitution.
