A riderless horse, a dry track, and an uncontested finish weren't the only things that distinguished the Preakness from the Derby.

Although there were complaints about the exclusion of the media from corporate tents where guests were no doubt feted in the same manner as Louisville's corporate guests, state officials disclosed the identities of some — if not all corporations — invited to attend in advance of the event.

To be fair, the corporations identified have already committed to doing business with the state or are in the process of doing so.

Final figures on taxpayer dollars expended have not yet been released.
