In the interest of brevity(!), we refer you to our July 30 post relating to the Kentucky Retirement Systems' refusal to discharge its statutory duty to post investment managers' contracts and fees online.

It is staggering to think that we permit a public agency invested (quite literally) with the highest public trust — not to mention fiduciary duty — to evade accountability and violate state law expressly requiring posting of contracts and fees to avoid possible push back from self-serving and self-interested investment managers.

And this is "damning them all with faint praise."
