A bit of welcomed news from Paducah.

Following the submission of two open meetings complaints concerning the Paducah City Commission's July 28 meeting — a meeting interrupted several times by audio and video problems — the commission agreed to a re-do of the meeting.

This was one of the remedies proposed by WPSD Local 6 in its open meetings complaint and one that public agencies rarely agree to.

But the Commission properly responded to the media's and public's expressions of concern about open meetings compliance at the July 28 meeting and conducted the full meeting a second time on Tuesday, August 11.

The commission "re-did" the meeting to "go above and beyond to exemplify transparency," WPSD reports.

Into every life some sunshine must fall!
